a. 32°
b. 35°
c. 38°
d. 40°
e. None of these

ANSWER: 40°

The temperature for first 4 days = 4 * 36 = 144
The temperature for last 4 days = 4 * 38 = 152
The difference between the temperatures is (152 – 144) = 8
The ratio of temperature between first and fifth day is 4 : 5
The temperature on fifth day is 5*8 = 40
