Due to high roter resistance, roter PF will be high.
and induction moter's torque will be high because torque depebds on pf directly.

On account of high resistance and good power factor

Yes, the answer is high starting torque.

The slip ring induction motors have a phase wound rotor. They also consist of steel laminated rotor core having slots to accommodate 3-phase windings. The rotor is always wound for 3-phase. These three windings on the rotor are started internally and other three ends of these windings are brought out and connected to three insulated slip rings which are mounted on the rotor shaft. The carbon brushes, which are held against the slip rings by spring assembly, help the three ends of the windings to touch the three slip rings.

These three carbon brushes are next connected to 3-phase start connected rheostat. Slip rings and rheostat add external resistance to the rotor circuit which enables higher resistance during starting. Thus slip ring induction motor has higher staring torque.

please provide explanation for this question. as per my reading ans should be high starting torque bcz short circuit flow through rotor circuit leads to the generation high starting torque
