    - The boring can be defined as a process of enlarging a hole which is already in an object.

    - There maybe a condition when a suitable size drill is not available, then a hole of nearest size is drilled and size is increased by using single point cutting tool. This process is called as boring.

    - Size of hole is increased by lowering the tool in hole while it is rotating.

    - The below diagram shows boring operation with single point cutting tool.
