Length bars and slip gauges are commonly used end standards. Slip gauges or gauge blocks are made of high grade steel and about 10 mm wide. Accuracy of end standards is ± 0.001 mm. End standards have errors due to improper wringing. Change in temperature

Accuracy upto ± 0.2 mm is obtained in line standards if magnifying glasses are provided. Change in temperature also results in errors in end standards.
