    - The diffuser is a component of centrifugal compressor which has a function to convert the high kinetic energy into pressure energy, between diffuser blade passages.

    - The diffuser blades are shaped in such a way that they provide an increased passage of area to the air.

    - This results into conversion of kinetic energy into pressure energy by diffusion.

    - Impeller is a component of centrifugal compressor which produce centrifugal head on the air within the compressor and cause the air to flow from surroundings axially into the impeller eye.

    - Casing is used to cover the compressor impeller and all the system.
