    - The Data link layer is the seventh-layer of the OSI model of computer networking. It provides data transfer across the physical link.

    - Data link layer is responsible for delivery of data packets from node to node.

    - In the OSI model, data link layer protocols respond to service requests from the network layer and they perform their function by issuing service requests to the physical layer.

    - Data link layer transfers data between network nodes in a wide area network or between nodes on the same local area network (LAN).
