    Silicones provide the treasure of abundant advantages in almost all aspects of LED standards and packages. They can undergo the moulding processes for various applicable perspectives & hence innumerable range of viscosity is highly essential for the desired level of moulding allocated for particular function.

    The property of viscosity decides the nature and type of moulding. High, moderate and low level of viscosities are confined for the different requirements of LED components. Since the silicones can be dispensed or molded by various techniques, it results in an efficiently automated assembly process.

    However, due to availability of viscosities at a wider range, reliable dispense and moulding processes are easily undertaken by silicones.

    Corrosion minimization is possible by reducing the ionic content below 1ppm. If the feature of variable modulus is less than 1 Mp a, then it results in the design flexibility for the stress absorption within the package.
