Indian film maker Adoor Gopalakrishnan and film critic Aruna Vasudev will receive the lifetime achievement award at the second edition of this festival to be held in Colombo from November 7 to 11. Close to 100 films from different nations will be shown free of charge to public at different locations in Colombo. Films that will be screened include Guru Dutt directed Pyassa and Adoor’s Elippathayam, and Baldvin Zophoníasson’s Vonarstræti. Festival will also showcase films made in different nations such as China, Brazil, Iran and France.
