It is a relatively poor conductor of heat. Most metals are excellent thermal conductors. Mercury is a very rare element in the Earth's crust. Mercury (Hg) is liquid at standard conditions for temperature and pressure. Bromine(Br) is also liquid at standard conditions for temperature and pressure.
