    Formula: Using kinematic equations, v2 = u2 + 2as

    Solution:

    To find average resistance, calculate acceleration using the formula v2 = u2 + 2as

    0 = (30)2 + ( 2 x a x 30)

    a = - 15 m/s2

    Average resistance = (- F) = ma

    - F = 600 x (-15)

    Average resistance = 9000 N = 9 kN
