a. 0.8544
b. 0.6788
c. 0.9999
d. 0.5545

ANSWER: 0.8544

Here, m1 = 0.8
m2 = 0.3

total modulation index mt = √( m12 + m22 )
= √( 0.82 + 0.32 )
= √ 0.73
= 0.8544 = 85.44%
