Union Ministry of Home Affairs on 14th October 2015 has proposed a new scheme called Central Victim Compensation Fund with initial investment of INR 200 crore to support victims of various attacks such as rape,acid attacks and human trafficking. The scheme aims to supplement Victim Compensation Schemes notified by states/UTs. Victims will be compensated for injury, loss and death.
