The primary methods of vibration test techniques are sinusoidal testing and random testing. The testing which involves the exposure of a specimen to the vibration at a constant or gradually changing frequency, is known as 'Sinusoidal Testing'.

Sinusoidal testing is conventional or an older type of vibrating testing which is used to reveal the sensitive frequencies of a product.

The testing which is adopted for the simulation of real world environment is termed as 'Random Testing'.

It's major contributory role is in the duplication of transportation, seismic as well as operating vibrations. Hence, all these illustrations do not belong to the category of sinusoidal testing.
