    - Operating characteristics curve is obtained when probability of acceptance is plotted against percent defectives.

    - Producer's risk and customer's risk are two specific points through which sampling plan should pass on the O.C. curve. Consumer's risk is denoted by β and producer's risk is denoted by α.

    Producer's risk: The probability of rejecting good product by a customer as bad product is considered as producer's risk.

    Customer's risk: It is a potential risk in which, a product is passed undetected through manufacturer's quality control system into the market place. The products entering the customer markets are of poor quality but are assumed as high quality products.
