Define Performance tests

Performance testing is executed to measure some performance metrics/quality attributes of the system and not functionality or integrity. It is often done to arrive at a performance benchmark that the system achieves determining the performance of the system and setting an expectation out of it under various circumstances. Performance tests can measure reliability, scalability, interoperability, response time etc using various metrics.
