Media is a diversified field with electronic media being the major part. Media plays a vibrant role in our lives, in shaping our mind-set.

For:

- Media is one medium, where you could find information on each and every topic
- The level of studies in school has levelled up tremendously making children as well as parents rely on the internet for information
- The media makes the children aware on all the social issues happening around the world
- Advertising is cheaper on the internet, whereas a lot of new arenas are opening up on the internet like shopping is the biggest and growing industry over the internet
- Companies have a global recognition through the medium of internet

Against:

- Media through its beleaguer power has amplified the peer pressure amongst children
- With the help of advertising agencies, cold drinks and cigarettes have reached each and every nook and corner but there is no proper supply of electricity as well as water
- Media inducing the thought process also has the power to manipulate things and present to the public
- Astute politicians have erudite the art of relinquishing in the errand of their image
- Although, internet provides with knowledge on each and every topic, it spoils the children as well with extreme amount of information available over the net, especially on issues like pornography
- Cybercrime is increasing day by day due to the same issues.

Conclusion:

- Media is definitely a mixed blessing. On one hand if it teaches us new areas of life, it is spoiling the children as well at the same time. Monitoring and censoring the content to an extent will help media in just being a boon to the people.

    - Media is a source of mass interaction and also known for its freedom of speech. It includes all the ways through which we can get information like books, e-media, newspapers, magazines, radio and television.
    - Nowadays Media is one of the strongest modes of communication. The development of any country depends on media. In international scenario roots of media has been spread worldwide. In a democratic country like India, media is playing a very important role.
    - It broadcasts news nearly 24/7 and 365 days a year, updating people about each and every event happening around the world.
    - Media played a big role in getting independence to India by creating awareness in people.
    - It introduces new job opportunities in fields like journalism, advertising etc.
    - It helps people realize the economic status of the counties all over the globe.
    - Media shows the true face of politician by broadcasting interviews with facts. Media aware laymen about beneficial schemes provided by Government.
    - Media helps people realize their duties.
    - Nowadays media is a big mediator between public and government to bring revolution in the country. Media is reducing corruption by creating fear in the mind of bribe takers.
    - Through media we get latest updated on the technology.
    - It’s true that we can’t live without media. As long as the allegations are not false and the media does not hurt any sentiments of an individual or community, we all can accept media with open hands. There needs to be a strict line of discipline and ethics which the media should not cross when portraying any event or data.

    - Media creates a hype of everything. Through media rumours are spreading on celebrities.
    - Most of the times their allegations are not true. This puts lives of many people and their career at stake.
    - In the world of media, nothing is hidden from anyone. This can be dangerous from the security point of view.
    - Instead of creating awareness or giving true information to the people, news channels are more into creating sensation to gain audience attention.
    - Highlighting of many criminal activities on news channels has increased the number of crime rates in the country.
    - Some politicians are using media to highlight them in the public.
    - Most of the time different channels are showing different angles of the same news which leads to misunderstanding among the audience.
    - The lives of celebrities are often disclosed in an unethical manner.
    - Most of the times, it wastes its time in silly matters like domestic issues rather than digging into the cause behind them.
    - The verbiage used by media at times is very offensive. This is done to grasp the audience’s attention.
