Attack on LOC - should India still indulge in talks with Pakistan?

The violent attack by armed militants on Indian throngs traversing at the LOC in the Poonch sector has generated severe tautness amongst India and Pakistan.

For:

- When both the countries are trying to improve the relations amongst each other so as to allocate their funds and vims in the favour of progressing the welfare of their people
- By indulging in talks with Pakistan, it could reduce the frequency as well as the intensity of the attacks taking place between India and Pakistan

Against:

- A bout on such a vast scale is possible only after an exhaustive survey is carried out. In this case also, it is evident that the Pakistani troops have done a thorough survey through the terror groups, who guided them in planning and accomplishing the attack
- Increasing frequency of such attacks by Pakistan will not help in improving the terms between India and Pakistan
- Speculations have been there that the terror groups along with the Pakistan Army is not in the errand of the peace talks taking place in between India and Pakistan, and hence these are the ways in which they are showcasing their resentment
- The peace meetings and the mayhem cannot go hand in hand. One of them will have to be condemned

Conclusion:

- Recently Pakistan has showed their concern on the peace talks and wants to carry on with the same, but the recent attack on Indian soldiers is expected to affect the continuation of the Indo-Pak dialogue process.
