Buddhist park in Andhra Pradesh


The AP govt. is planning to open a Buddhist Heritage Theme Park “Buddhavanam” which will come up at Nagarjunsagar from Amravati on the left bank of Krishna River.

IDFC, Bhandha get permission to open banks


The RBI granted permission to IDFC limited and Kolkata based Bandhan Financial services to open banks in the country under section 22(1) of the Banking Regulation Act 1949. The licenses were issued a day after election commission allowed RBI for it. They have to start banking services within 18 months of the approval.

The world observed World Autism Day on April 2


This is the 7th World Autism day and is marked to raise awareness about this mental disorder. It was designated by the United Nations General Assembly resolution "62/139. World Autism Awareness Day," adopted on 18 December 2007, proposed by Qatar, and supported by all member states. Since then, this day has been marked internationally.

PM of Kazakhstan resigns


Prime Minister Serik Akhmetove handed over his resignation to President Nursultan Nazarbyavev. Karim Masimov is set to become the new PM.

Communication satellite of India expires


INSAT 3E is the communication satellite of India which was expired from services recently after it completed its 15 year tenure. It was a third generation satellite and was launched in 2003.
