1. When and from where this bank originated?


Repatriates Cooperative Finance and Development Bank Ltd., (REPCO BANK) was registered on 19.11.1969 as a Cooperative Society under the relevant provisions of Madras Cooperative Societies Act, 1961 with Jurisdiction over the State of Tamilnadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Union Territory of Puducherry.

It is established for the purpose of promoting the rehabilitation activities for repatriates from neighbouring countries mainly from Sri Lanka and Burma. Though originally registered under the Madras Cooperative Societies Act, 1961, the Bank is deemed to be registered under the Multi State Cooperative Societies Act, 2002. The Bank was promoted by Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs in association with the State Governments of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.

2. Who looks after Administration of Repco Bank?


The Bank is under the administrative control of FFR Division, Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India. Constitutionally, the Bank is a Multi-State Cooperative Society. The Society’s rules and regulations are governed by its byelaws. On the recommendation of Govt. of India, the Reserve Bank of India under section 7(1) of Banking Regulation Act, 1949 permitted this Institution to use the word “BANK” by Notification S.O. 626 dated 19.01.1972. In terms of the byelaws, as the share of the Government is more than 51%, the Board of Directors are appointed by the Govt. of India.

3. What are the repatriates’ welfare programs?


For the welfare of repatriates, bank has established Repatriates’ Welfare trust.

It was established during the year 2007 (19.11.2007 – Bank’s Foundation Day) by Repco Bank with the objective of providing welfare schemes to Repatriates and their wards & heirs. The Trust consist of 11 Trustees in its Board, out of which 6 are ex-officie Trustees nominated by the Bank from its official cadre and 5 are from among the Repatriates Delegates.

Following welfare schemes are being offered to Repatriates:

Free uniforms and notebooks are distributed to the needed one.

Education Aid- Education aid is being granted to repatriate students who are pursuing higher education.

Education Loan-Education loans to Repatriates Students who pursue Graduate / Post Graduate Professional Courses in accredited institutions in India at nominal rate of interest

Education Award -Sponsorship of Higher Education to the Repatriates Students who secured first three ranks in Government Higher Secondary Board of Examination, upto maximum of 25,000/- pa.

Top Scorer Award -Distribution of Cash award, shield and certificates to repatriate students who secure highest marks in HSC Board Examinations.

Medical Aid -This aid is provided for various treatments such as Heart surgery, Eye surgery, Treatment of cancer, Kidney Failure Treatment, Major surgery in accident.

Interest Rate Concession- Concession in rate of interest of loans is offered up to 2% than the rate offered to general public. Similarly a deposit attracts 1% more than the rate offered to general public.

4. What are the eligibility criteria for applying in REPCO Bank?


Age Limit: Candidates minimum age limit is 21 years and maximum age limit is 30 years for PO post & minimum age limit is 18 years and maximum age limit is 25 years for Clerk post.
Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess Graduation or Post Graduation in any discipline from any university recognized by UGC, Knowledge of Computer, with 60% marks for Probationary Officer post & must have Proficiency in the Official Language of the particular State is essential.

5. How to apply for this exam?


You can apply online through the Bank’s website http://www.repcobank.com & www.repcobank.co.in. After submission of online application form, take print out of it for future use.

Instructions to Apply Online:

1. Before applying online you must have valid E-mail ID & scanned (digital) image of photograph and signature not exceeding 50 KB and 20 KB in JPEG format.
2. Log on to Website www. Repcobank.com and click on Career then download challan.
3. After fee payment candidates have to revisit the website for filling the application.
4. Click on Careers and Select the link ‘Online Application for JA/Clerk and Probationary Officer then “Apply Online”.
5. Mandatory fields are to be filled along with the payment details and Click on submit link.
6. Registration number and Password is generated after successful Submission of Application through online, keep it for further use.
7. Take print out of System generated Registered Application for further use.
8. Take print out of system generated e-receipt (if online payment made)
5. What is the selection procedure followed by Repco Bank?

Selection procedure for exam totally depends on the bank’s choice, Repco Bank follows this one:

Clerk - Written Test + Interview

The written test will be conducted online comprising objective type questions and candidates merit listed on the basis of the online written examination and such number of candidates as required, which will be determined by the Bank will be called for the second stage of recruitment namely Group Discussion/Interview.

Bank may take as trainee, the candidates who are not offered regular appointment, but whom the bank considers has the potential. The training period of such trainee will be as determined by the bank.

6. How can I pay my fees for Repco Bank exam?


Fee structure for PO exam is as such:

For SC/ST/PWD/Repatriates – 350 Rs

For General category – 500 Rs

Fee structure for clerk exam is as such:

For SC/ST/PWD/Repatriates – 300 Rs

For General category – 400 Rs

Mode of payment can be Online OR Offline.

Online Mode: The application form is integrated with the payment gateway and the payment can be made using Master/ Visa Debit or Credit card. After online payment, take print out of system generated e-receipt for future use.

Offline Mode: Candidates can deposit the fee by taking a print out of Fee Payment Challan available in Bank website with North Usman Road, T.Nagar, Chennai in favour of “Repco Bank Recruitment Fee Collection Account” in any Indian Bank Branch. Bank generates A Counterfoil of the Fee Payment Challan with Branch Name & Code Number, Transaction ID, Date of Deposit & Amount filled by the Branch Official, with all these details candidates can apply on-line.

7. What are the requirements for applying for Manager Post in Repco Bank?


Age Limit: For manager post age limit is 25 to 40 years. Relaxation is applicable as per the rules.

Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess BE /B Tech or MCA or Post Graduation in Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Electronics & Tele Communications/ Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Instrumentation with at least 60% marks with relevant experience.

Selection Process: Selection is done on the basis of Written Examination/ Group activity/ Interview.

Application Fee: Fees is paid in the form of Bank Pay Order or Demand Draft issued by a Scheduled Commercial Bank payable at Chennai and should be drawn in favor of Repco Bank Recruitment Cell. Candidates must pay the fee of Rs.500/- for General & others; Rs. 350/- for SC/ ST /Repatriate candidates (including postal charges).

8. Does bank have its branches all over India?


No, bank has its branches only in South India. Especially in four southern state - Tamilnadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Kerela.
