Responsibilities of welfare officer are:

a. To act as a negotiable agent, who will handle grievance of workers, individually or collectively.

b. To maintain harmonious relationship between factory management and workers.

c. To advice factory management in formulating labour policies.

d. To advice workers against going on illegal strikes and advice management against illegal lockouts.

e. To prevent anti-social activities.
