Criminology is a branch of sociology which includes study of crimes and their causes, effects and impact on the social and psychological system. Criminology is to apply theoretical approach to the crime to understand the social and personal aspects and causes of the crime, to analyze the processes for their effective prevention and management. Criminology deals with the issues related to crime and criminal justice. It’s the study to find out the cause and reason of crime, response of a society towards the crime in general and towards a criminal in particular. Criminologists try to find out the reasons which include the behavioral and social problems that lead to crime and victimization and then they work towards providing justice and prevention of crimes.
