What method is used for job evaluation?


Job evaluation can be done quantitatively or non-quantitatively. Quantitative method includes point rating and factor comparison. Under point rating method a quantitative evaluation of different jobs in terms of various factors are made and max point values are assigned to each job. Factor comparison method determines the relative rank of the jobs to be evaluated in relation to monetary scale.

Non-quantitative method includes ranking and grading method. In ranking method evaluation of job description and ranking is done. While grading method is the improvement over ranking method in which a predetermined scale is provided.
