Explanation

Content analysis is broadly used for quantitative communication but at times, it is also used for qualitative analysis. There are three main stages – preparation, organizing and reporting. It takes place in both the inductive and deductive analysis process. Quantitative analysis depends on objectivity and reliability. It is an empirical method which is used in social science for investigating the recorded human communication in a systematic or organized way. It includes newspapers, television etc. Content analysis is a time consuming process and thus, smaller samples of media content are used.
