Avoid funky e-mail ids in your CV.

Avoid sending your CV through a funky e-mail id when you are applying for a position that demands seriousness and maturity. E-mail ids like hotbabe@----.com or iamsmart@----.com leave a bad impression about you.

They make the prospective employer think that either the candidate is not serious about the discussion or is trying to act smart. Both the conclusions are dangerous as they mean that you might not receive an interview call.

The best bet is to choose an e-mail address near to your name so that it makes sense to the person on the receiving end.
Avoid saving your CV with an irrelevant file name
Some people like to save their CV with a file name like, CV of Jacob Mendez for Marketing.doc..
Don't embedding contact information in the text in your CV
Suppose you receive a menu card from a restaurant which has all the good recipes, affordable price...
Don't providing contact details of your parents in your CV
Many candidates stay away from home but provide the contact details of their parents. This again irritates the employers...
