An industry requires lot many profiles of people from management, engineers, clerical staff, executive level, to ground level staff. But when we talk of a specialized course for mining, there are some institutes that offer BE Mining. Mining engineering is a branch of science that deals in process of extracting minerals and other resources from earth. Mining engineers are trained professionals who perform their duty of exploration and planning, cost-estimation, extraction and processing of minerals and other resources from earth.

The career prospects are available both in Government and Private sector. The main recruiters are the mineral extracting, processing and refining firms. Petrochemical, Oil and natural Gas extraction firms also form the major recruiters. The Archaeological departments also recruit mining engineers at times.
