Confidence or over-confidence

A recruiter caught me on confidence and over-confidence. What I felt confidence, was over-confidence for them. How should I differentiate confidence from over-confidence while explaining the interviewers?

Anything within the threshold retains positive effect. Not only the scarcity, but excess of anything proves equally devastating. Confidence is the internal strength and power within an individual which keeps them at equilibrium at all situations. Over-confidence, on the other hand, is a miscalculation and exaggeration of own potential.

Confidence is well interpreted when an individual knows both their strength and weakness and can remain balanced and in harmony at all circumstances. Even if the person is unaware of their talents and ability, but can deliver the best outcome, they can be counted as confident. However, there are people who are unaware of their inabilities and weakness. They mostly dwell on empty speculations and exaggerate their own self. An individual who portrays themselves to be ‘Jack of all trades’ can be counted as over-confident. Precisely, confidence achieves success and over-confidences fails to reach their target.
