The Airport Authority of India recruits the Air Traffic Controllers. The educational qualification for the eligibility includes engineering in electronics or telecommunications, Radio-engineering, Electrical engineering, M SC in wireless communication, M Sc in radio-physics or electronics with radio-engineering as specialization. The age limit is usually within 21 to 27 years.

The candidate should be quick to take decisions and act instantly. The work schedule is usually in odd hours from the air traffic towers. It is a highly responsible job that includes
- Ensure safe arrival and departure of aircrafts
- Use of radio signals for giving instructions and information to the pilots
- Provide weather update to the pilots to ensure visibility and guide the aircraft movement
- Use of navigation and surveillance technology to advice the pilots.
