Job opportunities for Interior designer

Asked by: Guest - 20 May 16
I have done BA (Hons) in interior architecture and design from Indian Institute of Art and Design. I am looking forward to a job. Would my qualification suffice the job requirements or do I need to check-out for some post-graduate courses in this field?

Graduation in interior designing is enough to get through a good job. Interested candidates can pursue post graduation in the same field. Interior designers usually work with the interior spaces to make them look pleasing by analysing the architectural aspects of the space and decorating them.

Their major work area deals in designing plans and drawing blueprints for the fixed structure and implementing the plans after considering the characteristics of the space like colour, lighting and furnishings. Their focus is to emphasize on the studio work, creating 2D and 3D design using technology like CAD software; building compliance; and design theory.

Interior designers have a wide scope with respect to job prospects. They have the talent to modify and beautify all sorts of buildings. They have a good scope for job in residential properties, Hotels and commercial properties, Restaurants and other eating outlets, Schools, Officers, Airports and various other public utility spaces.
