Job or MBA?

Asked by: Guest - 20 May 16
I am doing my final year B Com (Hons) and was preparing to pursue MBA in finance. But recently I got offers from Standard Chartered and Ernst Young when I gave a practice interview with them. Should I join any of these or concentrate on my MBA?

It depends on individual interest and circumstances whether they choose their career ahead with further education or join a job. It is definitely appreciable for the candidate to have some good offers at hand in the start of the career. That boost up the morale and provides encouragement for future. But, the same should not impart negative dynamics in the form of proud attitude.

Since the candidate is just pursuing the graduation, with time in hand and favourable circumstances, they can easily opt for the higher studies. Again, it is individual judgment whether to go ahead with MBA as distant education or a regular course. For the person interested in regular course in MBA, it is advisable to keep the job offers aside and carry on with the post-graduation and have some better job offers in future. If the candidate chooses for the distant education, and they find themselves capable enough of effective time-management, they can go ahead with the distant MBA program along with the job.
