Subjective exams and objective exams

I do well in subjective exams but I get nervous in objective exams. What can I do to deal with this?

Objective type exams are nothing different from subjective exams. The only difference being the former is more tricky and many a times carries penalty marking for the incorrect response. When the student is confident for a subjective exam, they are well-verse with the subject which is of prime importance for the objective tests as well.

Stay calm, relaxed and feel fit, full of positive energy and confidence to attempt the exam. Keep reiterating mentally some positive phrases like “I am prepared”, “I can excel”.

In the examination hall, take deep breath. Read instructions and questions carefully and slowly to understand each bit. Have time management plans for each question. Plan out your answering strategy after reading the questions and attempt the confident ones first which does not consume your time. Read the answers completely before answering to give the best suitable response.

Think and concentrate only on the questions and avoid undue negative thoughts. Don’t evaluate while attempting the exam. It not only takes off the precious time, but also leads to undue anxiety.
