Which interview gives a better scope of getting hired – a longer one or the one wrapped up briefly?

Long and short interviews matter more to the interviewer. For the candidate attending, the interview should go well. Be it a long chat or a brief communication, the details must be conveyed in an impressive manner. The long interviews usually provides candidates time to get settled and relax as they get a bit into the comfort zone. This could help the candidates, especially those who have the tendency to get anxious and nervous, some time to breathe and perform better. Longer interview also gives enough time for the interviewer to analyse the candidate in a better manner.

A brief interview is like a rapid fire round. The positive aspect of this interview is that the candidates get less time, so they tend to get less sloppy in that minimal time. Candidates need to be fully conscious and alert to perform well in such short interviews. The interviewer is short of time to analyse the candidates, so they need to use every bit of the second during the interview to portray their talents and skills through their responses.
