How is the minimum tradable lot decided?


Minimum tradable lot is decided according to the existing provision which is been contained in the SEBI guidlines which says that tradable lot which is also been termed as marketable lot to be 100 shares of face value of Rs. 30/- each. This is to increase the participation of public in a highly priced environment sale. In the guidelines it is mentioned that the tradable lot shouldn't consist of more than 100 shares in any case. Issuer can go upto 100 but beyond that it is not possible to increase the tradable lot.
