a. 1000
b. 3000
c. 9000
d. 11000

ANSWER: 9000

In an order, the Ministry of Home Affairs said, the registration of the NGOs that had neither filed their annual returns for three years nor given any explanation for the delay, stood cancelled with immediate effect. The Ministry has also directed the district magistrate concerned to manage the assets of these NGOs in any manner considered necessary and in public interest. The Foreign Contribution Regulation Act requires every registered NGO to submit its returns annually, irrespective of whether it received foreign funding in that year.
