The Bill was introduced in 2011 that seeks to dissolve the Atomic Energy Regulatory Board and replace it with the Nuclear Safety Regulatory Authority (NSRA) but it lapsed during dissolving of Loksabha in 2014.Currently government is thinking about giving independence to AERB on recommendations of IAEA
