- If a truss is loaded, it is subjected to axial forces. The force may be tensile or compressive. Determination of these forces in both magnitude and direction is called as analysis of truss.
- Different methods are used for analyzing a truss. These include method of joints, method of sections and graphical method.
- Different assumptions assumed in this process are:
1) The truss should be a perfect truss.
2) The members should be straight and uniform.
3) The truss used is loaded at pin joints only.
4) During analyzing weight of members are neglected.
