ANSWER: 8
 
Let the numbers be x, x + 2, x + 4, x + 6 and x + 8.
Then, [x + (x + 2) + (x + 4) + (x + 6) + (x + 8)] / 5 = 51
5x + 20 = 255
x = 47
So, required difference = (47 + 8) – 47 = 8
