    - The process of combining two or more distinct polymer molecules to form a new product with different characteristics is called as blending.

    - Polymer blends are classified into three categories as follows:

    1. Immiscible polymer blend: Two glass transition temperature is observed when the blend is made of two polymers.

    2. Compatible polymer blend: It is immiscible polymer blend having macroscopically uniform physical properties.

    3. Miscible polymer blend: Polymer blend having single phase structure.
