    The bluff body can be defined as the body whose surface does not coincide with the streamline when places in a flow.

    As the pressure on downstream falls substantially and produces the pressure difference on the upstream and downstream side of body, a very wide wake is developed on the downstream of the body.

    The drag due to pressure is very large as compare to friction drag.

    The tall buildings, advertising boards in the airflow, trucks are the examples of bluff bodies.
