    - In CNC machine tool, a computer is used to control the functions of machine tools from stored information or computer terminal input or punched tape input.

    - Some or all the numerical control functions are performed with use of a dedicated stored computer program in CNC system.

    - The numerical control functions in CNC system are performed in accordance with control programs stored in Random Access Memory (RAM) of the computer.

    - And this program can be used repeatedly and also it can be modified as per the required changes in final component.

    - Therefore, the part program entered into the computer memory of CNC machine tool can be used again and again.
