    - When some physical components are arranged to form a system with connection or relation among them in such a way that these components can command, direct or regulate the system or another, then the arrangement is called as control system.

    - Some elements of control system and their definitions are as follows

    1. Controlled variable: It is a quantity or condition of the controlled system which can be directly measured and controlled.

    2. Command: It is an input that can be independently varied.

    3. Reference input: It is a standard signal that is used for comparison in the closed-loop system.

    4. Disturbance: Disturbance can be any signal apart from the reference which affects the system performance.
