    The difference between torque required to accelerate non dynamically equivalent system and dynamically equivalent system is called as correction couple.

    Let,

    TA be the torque required to accelerate dynamically equivalent system

    TB be the torque required to accelerate non-dynamically equivalent system

    Therefore,

    Correction couple ( TC ) = Torque required to accelerate non-dynamically equivalent system (TB ) - Torque required to accelerate dynamically equivalent system ( TA )

    ( TC ) = m ( k12 – k2) α

    here,

    α = angular acceleration

    k = radius of gyration of dynamically equivalent system.

    k1 = radius of gyration of non dynamically equivalent system.
