    - Point-to-Point links that support full duplex data transmissions in both directions.

    - In a full duplex system, both parties can communicate with each other. It allows communication in both directions.

    - It is a two-way communication process.

    - In a full duplex, there are no collisions so time is not wasted. Full transmission capacity is available in both directions because the send and receive functions are separate.

    - In a half duplex, there are two clearly defined channels and each party can communicate with the other but not simultaneously, the communication is in one direction at a time.
