    The terminologies like simulation,prototype,product and quality exhibit different characteristics from one another. Simulation is the software based approach, whose analysis can be carried out on the basis of software support without any kind of circuit implementation. Therefore, the troubleshooting is less effective at component level.

    Prototype is a hardware based approach,whose design allows the user to make certain developmental variations regarding the new features. Hence, it involves the actual implementation of circuits & testing associated with it. As a result, troubleshooting is more effective at the component level.

    Product is basically a system which is an ultimate outcome of satisfactory results involved in it right from user to management to designer, after the prototype design. Quality is a unique term which acts as a function of product as well as prototype.
