    • Number of monomer molecules react together in a chemical reaction and form polymer. This process is called polymerization.

    • Addition polymerization and condensation polymerization are the two methods of polymerization.

    • Condensation polymerization is a process in which two or more chemically chemically different monomers are polymerized and forms cross-link or linear polymer along with a byproduct of water or ammonia.

    • This process occurs in saturated organic compounds and require high pressure temperature along with presence of catalyst.

    • Ester is produced due to condensation of methyl alcohol and acetic acid and water is obtained as a by product.
