Hybrid - π model consists of several resistances & capacitances.

As per the configuration of hybrid-π model, the resistance present between the external base terminal and the virtual base is regarded as bulk resistance.

Hence, it is also known as base spreading resistance because the internal node (B') in hybrid-π model of transistor is not physically accessible.

To comprehend the unaccessible terminal 'B' and analyze its functionally associated resistances in hybrid-π model, base spreading resistances are used.
