India’s first indigenously designed and built warship INS Godavari was on 23rd December 2015 decommissioned in Naval Dockyard Mumbai. This was commissioned into the Navy during the 1980s. With the decommissioning, INS Godavari has completed its full life cycle. It was the leading warship of its time along with INS Ganga and INS Gomati.
