    - Tool maker's microscope is used to inspect gauges, screw threads, tools, dies and fixtures. Tool maker's microscope works on the principle of optics.

    - Tool maker's microscope is direct reading measuring instrument.

    - Longitudinal range of 100 mm and cross range of 50 mm is observed in this microscope. Screw obtains 50 mm of longitudinal movement and remaining 50 mm is obtained by insertion of gauge blocks.
