    Internetworking Protocol (IP) :

    - The IP which stands for Internetworking Protocol is the network layer protocol.

    - It is used for routing the data from the source to its destination.

    - It transports data in packets, called as datagrams.

    - Internetworking protocol (IP) is an unreliable and connectionless protocol.

    - Every datagram contains an IP header followed by a transport layer protocol such as, TCP or UDP.

    - IP does not provide error reporting mechanism.

    - In IP, error checking and controls are not concerned.
