    - The difference between jigs and fixture in terms of their weights is that the jigs are lighter than the fixtures.

    - Fixtures are related to specific machine tools whereas th jigs are connected with operations.

    - Therefore, for the quick handling in the machining operations, the jigs are made lighter than the fixtures.

    - As fixtures are heavier in construction, they are bolted rigidly on the machine table.
