    - Indexing fixtures are used for machining parts which must have machined details evenly spaced

    - Profile fixture is used to guide tools for machining counters which the machine cannot normally follow.

    - Duplex fixture is used to hold two similar components simultaneously and allows machining of both the components simultaneously at two different locations.

    - Below diagram shows the simple indexing fixture.
